Bush and Afghanistan: Dangerous Threats

# 38608
Bush and Afghanistan: Dangerous Threats
This paper examines American responses to the World Trade Center attack.
1,650 words (approx. 6.6 pages) | 9 sources | 2002 United States

Paper Summary:

The President demanded that the Taliban hand over bin Laden and cease and desist all terrorist activity. They declined to reply. However, Bush's threat was not compellant in that he cannot enforce his demands. Its rationality, or conversely its reliance on psychological excess, also makes it suspect.
