It describes in detail three of Botticelli's Neoplatonic paintings: "The Birth of Venus", "Pallas and the Centaur" and "Primavera". It describes their origins and how Botticelli interpreted the pagan themes with a hint of Christianity thrown in, which was the hallmark of Neoplatonism.
