Alcoholism is ever present in our society, and there are many factors that may push someone towards it on a narrow, one-way path that may lead to recklessness, serious health problems, violence and even death. A serious problem that leads people to alcoholism is binge drinking, which is most commonly seen affecting college students. A recent survey revealed that eighty-eight percent of all college students (including students under the age of twenty-one) have consumed alcoholic beverages (O?Malley, Bachman)."
