"Much of the learning that many teachers enjoy encompasses the give and take environment of an educational classroom. The professional competence needed to endure and thrive in a classroom is a competence that grows on a daily basis. Problems will arise on a daily basis and will have to be dealt with in an immediate fashion. The standards and expectations of the classroom will have to be communicated directly to the students and indirectly to parents and administrators through the employment of both verbal and written communications. If the teacher is lacking in those communication skills, there will probably be rough waters to be traversed. One of the ways a teacher can improve those skills is by knowing where to go to find the data necessary for presentation."
