Earnings "fell to $32 million or 9 cents per share in its fiscal third quarter from $61 million or 17 cents per diluted share a year earlier and $40 million or 11 cents per share in the March quarter" (Apple pg). Apple's sales were $1.43 billion after $1.48 billion from the previous year, and $1.5 billion in the March quarter, "which Apple originally had expected to improve on by $100 million""
