"Ritualized behaviors are typical, and these compulsive actions gradually spread throughout the patient's lives. They may hide food, cut it into very small pieces, and move it around on their plates to make it look as if they have eaten. They may become very rigid about what they eat, counting the numbers of pieces they will eat or carefully measuring even very small portions, for instance of ketchup.
