↶ Look Inside

Paper Summary:

The writer of this paper uses several sources to indicate how America reacted to the holocaust and how history reacted after its occurrence. The writer illustrates the American horror at the events as well as the initial apparent apathy until the truth of the horrors came to light.

From the Paper:

"The American presentation to students in history classes at the elementary and high school level is a presentation that works to make America out to be the hero. Millions of Jews were welcomed here and they believed that FDR was a hero. However, once they arrived they discovered by living here that FDR had thrown their relatives to the wolves until it was no longer politically smart or effective to do so."
