Alzheimer's disease is a disorder of the brain which destroys brain cells. In the broadest terms it results in a marked decline in the mental function of its victims. The paper shows that these declines are most measurable in cognitive processes including memory, language, behavior and thinking. The paper shows that while it generally effects people after the age of 65, it has been noted in patients as young as 40.
