Countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the author reports, are emphasising sound corporate governance codes to create better economies and consequently more attractive investment climates for future investors. The paper is based on a survey that focuses on the establishment of good corporate governance codes in this region which has been conducted by the Hawkamah Institute for corporate governance in Dubai.
