This paper explains the structure of the current Iraqi government including its new Constitution, which guarantees people their basic human rights. Although Iraq is a different place than it was a few years ago, the author stresses that it cannot be said that Iraq is a safer place to be. To better understand this new nation, the author describes the everyday life of the Iraqi people. The paper concludes that dozens of mistakes have been made; however, the author believes that the power of the people will continue to turn the nation around.

From the Paper:

"The Iraqi people have to worry about kidnappings and threats wherever they are. People are constantly getting kidnapped, even while at work these things are happening. Kids cannot go out and just play in the streets with a sense of freedom and a carefree spirit to them, everyone has to be aware of their surroundings. Going out at night is dangerous for most in Iraq, many have quit going out at night in at all to avoid possible threats. And then there are those who are experiencing the devastations of war first hand."
