Paper Summary:

This paper is a general overview of neurology. It examines the main types of neuroscience - neurology, neurosurgery and neuropsychology. It analyzes what the neurologists do in each sub-field, their major goals and the tools and technologies they use. The paper then goes on to discuss their contributions to research and society.

From the Paper:

"The field of neuroscience is devoted to the study of the human central nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and associated nerves. Many neuroscientists are involved in clinical practice and meet with patients to diagnose and treat disorders of the nervous system. Others work mainly in research fields to investigate new technologies for diagnosing patients or new information that may help them to better understand certain physiological aspects of the human brain. Three major types of neuroscience dominate the field at present: neurology, neurosurgery, and neuropsychology."
