From the Paper:

"Apart from that I also want to make sure he understand that I understand his views and am genuinely interested in them as well. This is very important since in situational leadership, a leader needs to mould his style according to the situation. So if at any point, I feel that this person is not feeling motivated because he thinks I am not interested in his views, then I shall have to mold my style and pay attention to what he has to say."
