"To make a Three Dimensional painting, value and space can be called the most important elements: by making the left side of the painting darker than the right one, the painter not only reveals the source of the light but gives his artwork the atmospheric perspective - as we move our eyes from the left to the right, the houses become smaller, lighter in color and seem to disappear in the evening fog. Putting the fisherman's boat diagonally to the straight lines of the bridge and of the horizon, the painter shows that the only movement here is that of the streaking fireworks, the man and the boat slowly drifting in the calm waters of the river. To contrast the grayish blue colors of the painting, the artist adds dark yellow lights to the windows of the houses and brighter yellow sparkles coming from the fireworks to the right side of the painting, visually balancing it out by using brighter colors. "
