The four major world religions of Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all deeply instilled religious cultures that have a presence in all corners of the world. Each religion has their own particular practices and beliefs; however, there are some similar motifs and related interchanges of these ancient creeds. In this paper, the writer looks at each of the four religions of Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Christianity and maintains that each has their own special way of showing their devotion. The writer maintains that these four religions are all unique and their beliefs can be quite varied. The writer concludes that it is through their customs and practices that they become closer to their God, and closer to their own version of heaven.
From the Paper:
"This impacts modern culture because it distinguishes Muslims from other religions, as they simply do not accept the beliefs of any other religion but theirs as true. This can have an isolating effect as they are not permitted, by their religious belief, to accept or to change their religions; this can be very difficult in modern society which tries to instill understanding and acceptance of all peoples' beliefs. Another important aspect of Islamic belief is their Fourth Pillar, which requires all Muslims to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, their holy city. This is a rather difficult and arduous task to ask of modern Muslims, as they reside in all parts of the world."
