Paper Summary:

In this paper, the author writes about the excitement of waking up to snow and the desire to stay home and play in the snow rather go to school.

From the Paper:

"My parents told me that it probably wouldn't snow and not to get my hopes up. Disappointment threatened to ruin my euphoric state. Later that night I snuck out of my bed and tip toed downstairs. I had to be careful not to get caught; being up past curfew could get me stuck inside during my glorious snow day tomorrow. I worked my way close to the den so I could hear the weather on the late night news. I army crawled through the dining room to get right next the door by the TV. Much to my delight the weatherman was still predicting snow, and despite what my father said he didn't look like some half wit reading a magic eight ball. With these hopeful words I snuck back to my bed and dreamt of a snow covered streets."
