By examining several of Shakespeare's sonnets and Spenser's "Epithalamion", this paper compares how both poets discuss their feelings about women and love. The paper contends that, while Shakespeare loved women openly and honestly, Spenser idolized his love. Examples from the writings of both poets are used to support this contention.From the Paper:
