Sustainability at Different Levels

Sustainability at Different Levels
Comparison of the different approaches to sustainable development.
650 words (approx. 2.6 pages) | 6 sources | 2002 United States

Paper Summary:

The debates on sustainable development are now critical of the original UN definition of sustainable development. Using that broad definition, multinational corporations claim themselves as key agents of sustainability and cover up their part in environmental and social damage. Yet the common point of departure in the debates is the key concepts consistent in the UN definition. This paper compares different approaches to sustainable development.
