This paper compares and contrasts Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech and John Winthrop's sermon "A Model of Christian Charity." King's speech was the keynote address at the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. It stressed nonviolence as a tactic to end of racism.
