"According to the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), a gifted child is someone who provides "evidence of high achievement capability in areas such as intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity." In order to properly develop the evident talents, gifted children need specialized resources and programs. The NAGC is an organization designed to promote the proper education of gifted children by helping all of the involved parties - parents, teachers, school administrators, legislators, and the gifted children themselves realize the importance of proper talent development. In addition, this organization and its website provides a wealth of information regarding specific teaching and parenting strategies, school program performance measurements, and ongoing and proposed legislative initiatives designed to improves the teaching and financing of gifted children."
