This paper studies Jung's psychodynamic theory, comparing and contrasting his beliefs with those of Freud. The author also explains how Jung searched deeper into the human psyche, to see if a cultural background and life experience could have an effect on the human psyche.

"To this end, Jung identified and examined myths in society that seeped into our consciousness as human beings, as it were, and occurred according to the characteristics of the environment that we grew up in, as opposed to just universal cognitive and human elements.
"Jung sought to enrich through examination and development the connection in the human psyche that was identified between the experience of the collective unconsciousness, and the cognitive differences of cultural backgrounds."
