Domestic Violence

Paper Summary:

This paper briefly discusses how the problem of domestic violence goes beyond country's borders and can be found, unfortunately, everywhere. It discusses trends and patterns of this problems and examines ways that this phenomenon might be stopped. It concludes that this global problem is an issue which needs to be tackled on an international level.

"In conclusion, domestic violence is a global problem and there are similarities in the patterns of both the abused and the abuser. Just because this report has compared the United States and Germany, actually any nation in the world could have been chosen. Domestic violence as a problem transcends national boarders, religions, races and even genders. The report has attempted not to label abusers as men and the abused as women. But, of course, statistics don't lie and men in a majority of the cases are in fact the abuser. One hates to admit it, but it may be impossible to find a one hundred percent sure fire way of eliminating domestic violence. Or, just maybe, it will take some miraculous medical or psychological breakthrough in order to completely stop domestic violence. Be it Germany or the United States, domestic violence is wrong and some how the statistics have to be reduced!"
