This study will compare and contrast the challenges that adolescents face in the suburbs and in low-income family housing projects. The books Teenage Wasteland by Donna Gaines and Ain't No Makin' It: Aspirations and Attainment in a Low-Income Neighborhood by Jay Macleod will used to illuminate this situation.
