"The Human Resources Manager Helen must approve overall annual performance reviews before they are given to employees. Part of the process Helen uses is to review the employee's self-appraisal and compare it to the supervisor's performance review to look for any significant disparities Helen became concerned after reading both Mary's performance review and Sam's self-assessment. Mary's review indicates that she consider's Sam's overall performance to be poor and slipping quickly. Sam's self-appraisal suggests he is not aware of any performance deficiencies."
