Williams Case Study

Paper Summary:

This paper studies a case subject who is identified for these purposes as Mr. Williams. Mr Williams has lost his job and was initially diagnosed as suffering from depression, ADD, alcoholism, substance abuse, and related symptoms. In terms of operationally defining and measuring the target in accordance with Bloom et al (2005) the subject is a forty-five-year old man, working for the Mercantile Stock Exchange for twenty-three years as a broker and a trader. He lives in two-million dollar home, owns a pair of luxury vehicles, has summer homes in Wisconsin and Florida, and is considered wealthy by any standards. Despite his wealthy lifestyle and abundant material possessions, he is experiencing serious personal problems.
