Among its diverse portfolio of products and services are: retail banking, financial products and services, retirement plan accounts, international investment products and devices, capital market access and training, as well as services targeted at investment professionals themselves (Charles, 2005, p.4). Schwab recorded total assets in excess of $1,281b with more than $9b added in the first quarter of 2006 alone (Cole, 2006)."
