1,242 words (approx. 5 pages) | 3 sources | APA | 2008 United States

Paper Summary:

This paper presents the case of Luxurion Auto, which has developed goals to create an effective team to research popular luxury car design characteristics and build the next line of Luxurion Autos. The paper describes the need to consider the backgrounds of the teammates. It then evaluates all teammates and situations to guide the success of the team within a team effectiveness model.

From the Paper:

"In an effort to help the team from falling into a pattern of groupthink it is important to set up a meeting for team discussion. In the meeting the team was challenged to give constructive feedback of their resent design findings. The work-design traits helped motivate each team member by increasing the awareness of responsibility and ownership of the work already produced. Task identity allowed the team to develop knowledge of their individual performance. As a leader it is crucial to develop team confidence through new training. In this situation of groupthink, leadership and structure allowed the team to develop leadership skills to resolve conflicts and make better decisions within the team. An effective team can relate to the four contextual factors. Each factor will assist in the development of a teams performance."
