According to McShane and Glinow (p. 324), "Effective communication is vital to all organizations because it coordinates employees, fulfills employee needs, supports knowledge management, and improves decision making." What needs to change is the relationship between management team and the union. Both parties do not see the other as a business partner that can add value to both organizations."
