An example of secondary research used in the case sample market study focusing on consumer trends (hereinafter, "case study") is using information and statistics compiled by the government in terms of various populations. (Girden, 2001, p. 202). However, because secondary information only offers general conclusions, it is not specific enough to satisfy a study's needs for learning the effect that advertisement has on the purchase motive of consumers. Thus, according to the classic experimental design, original, or primary research, must also be conducted."
