"The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the recreational activities throughout the City and special events programs. This department sponsors programs such as youth baseball, softball, basketball, cheer leading, summer camps and Community Theater. The 2006-2007 budget includes approximately 43 activities, providing summer lunches for the summer camps, and increased the number of families in the Healthy Families Program. The general fund for park activities for 2006-2007 has an increase of $56,956."
