The author points out that, within the team development dimension of the LPI wherein co-workers, colleagues and employees are enabled to succeed in a team environment, the subject performs sub-par relative to where contemporary management needs to be in order to meet their productive obligations. These two components go hand in hand and must be addressed simultaneously in the personal development plan. The personal development plan must introduce the subject to motivational paradigms which create a challenging work environment while not creating barriers between the employee and management."
