"The Watson Pharmacy group is a group of retail pharmacists operating seven independently owned retail stores, a mini wholesale operation and a central office. The group supplies wholesale services to 63 pharmacies around Australia. Each store owns its own computer system enabling each one to communicate with each other. The central office acts as an administrative base where all the company information is housed. The group uses email not only to communicate with each other but also to speak with suppliers and transport companies. Most direct communication happened via telephone or fax because of time constraints as the email system is too slow and many members have not the time to reply."
