This paper explains the planning, development and implementation of an e-health product within an organization. It also includes the organizational policies and procedures necessary to protect the consumer's confidentiality.

"In the strategy and planning phase, the capabilities of the information technology department must be evaluated along with the marketing initiatives (MedSeek, 2006). This can be done combining the efforts of the organization's marketing and information technology departments. A consultant must be hired in order to create a phased implementation plan that includes budgetary and resource requirements. Before the site is implemented, a budget must be established so that the site planning is able to be completed in a timely manner without leaving anything out."
