"Chris Anderson has compiled research for almost two years to define new marketplaces that in his mind are originating with the technological advances of today. Ebooks, iTunes, and Amazon.com are all examples of attempting to give people what they want, as individuals are determining what it is they are looking for. Several years ago, Anderson points out, that there were very few choices for people to turn to. This, in turn, made all viewers of television "Seinfeld" or "The Simpsons" connoisseurs. However, today, with mainstream shifting paradigms, it is much easier for individuals to log on to iTunes and simply see what it is people are purchasing, and see for yourself what the fuss is about. In a sense, Anderson argues that technological impact is changing the face of the products offered today, and how people are spending their money."
