The key trait that he brings to light is having knowledge, often saying that philosophers would make the best rulers because they have the most knowledge of anyone in the state. In the case of Creon from Sophocles' famed play Antigone, he seems to prove Socrates' point by demonstrating that ruling with an iron fist is just a way to cover up for incompetence and lack of the aforementioned knowledge."
