My view of the dying process is that it is a depressing situation for all involved and a process where the dying person suffers and struggles. Certainly, Morrie was suffering and struggling in some ways. However, he also seemed to have the ability to cope reasonably well with the reality of his death. He seemed aware that trying to fight the reality of death would only limit the quality of the life he had left."
