From the Paper:

"This rewrite of Elizabeth's fate makes sense because the monster attacks those close to his creator instead of his creator himself. It is far more horrific to molest and detain Elizabeth than to simply kill her. The rest of the plot would involve Frankenstein hurrying to create a female mate and the monster tormenting him all the while by giving him glimpses of an anguished Elizabeth while also staring through the windows of the laboratory and terrifying Frankenstein. The scientist is careful to leave out any reproductive parts so that the story will eventually end with no progeny to consider. The monster and his mate take off gleefully across the glaciers to live out their wretched lives. Frankenstein reclaims Elizabeth, but she is emotionally ruined and succumbs to a fever soon after. Frankenstein travels across the ice to find the monster in the end because he wants to punish himself with the sight of the happy couple and end his days with the only companions he now has left."
