# 91024
Why Boys Are Falling Behind in Our Classrooms
This paper discusses an article about women overtaking the men academically.
675 words (approx. 2.7 pages) | 1 source | 2006 United States

Paper Summary:

The paper explores how there is little question that today's young men are falling further and further behind academically. A February 2006 report by Marshall Loeb of Marketwatch reveals that women now make up 57 percent of all college students, that young men are now outpaced by young women to the tune of a 2-1 ratio vis-a-vis the securing of scholarships and that women are now about twice as likely to take placement courses as men. Most university teachers indicate more young women than men in their classes and relate that the young women get better grades.
