The first component of accomplishing the completion of the planning stage involves "release planning," a practice whereby the business representative presents the desired features to the programmers and the programmers communicate regarding difficulty and cost estimates. The business representative then determines a plan for the project based on the programmer's feedback. Although the initial release plans are imprecise, Jeffries claims that enough information is available to make a decision, keeping in mind that the plan is revised regularly by the team as components change. The project is a fluid and versatile creation that changes easily based on new information, data, or objectives."
