Paper Summary:
Dysarthria is a condition that is a consequence of neurological impairment. The speech symptoms of dysarthria tend to be highly varied depending upon the nature of the original neurological damage and differential rates of recovery. This paper shows that, as a result, dysarthria can be a complex disorder to treat. Given that a number of studies have found that speech rate reduction strategies generally have a positive impact upon individuals with this disorder and this is shown in the paper.From the Paper:
