"Study limitations include the following. First, there are a number of different hand sanitizers and soap products on the market and which ones the researchers chose might have had a bearing on the results of the study. Second, the results of the study cannot necessarily be extrapolated to the general population because of the unique structure of the Butte school, the temperament of the teachers, and their teaching styles. Third, intervening variables including individual differences but also differences in disease susceptibility or immunity are not accounted for in the current research."
