Information Literacy

Paper Summary:

This paper focuses on information literacy. It first presents a review of peer-reviewed articles on this subject and then analyzes these articles by comparing and contrasting the perspectives of the authors on information literacy. Next, the paper assesses the influence of information literacy on scholarship, practice, and leadership within the technology industry. Lastly, the paper makes an evaluative conclusion on the analysis, and suggest a plan of action based on these sources of information.

"In order for information literacy to be effective in organizations, leaders will have to effectively communicate the business objective and various pertinent topics as they relate to the future and existence of the organization. The communication will have to occur starting at the top with the leaders espousing information literacy into the methods and procedures in their organization, identifying what information is need, determining how it should be stored, analyzed, processed, and disseminated to the rest of the organization in a way that everyone understands it."
