The large portion of Bennett's article is spent responding to the lack of fervor displayed by the intellectual community in the United States in support of contemporary U.S. drug policy. More precisely, this essay will be divided into several key sections. After setting out what Bennett's main claim in this article is, I will then follow by analyzing his rhetorical style in terms of logos, ethos, and pathos."
