"The article identified, defines and develops a pedagogy of the approach to teaching that the author identifies as "culturally relevant (Ladson-Billings, p. 160). The author further argues how central a cultural pedagogy is to the success of the educator, and thus how essential cultural pedagogy is to the teaching approach, an approach which should be more inclusive in enabling all cultures to thrive, not just the dominant white majority. The author then details a study of three years length on African-American students, where instructors were successful in making inroads that improved performance and results."
