Paper Summary:
This paper presents the case of children who are abused and parents who "spank" them for discipline. The writer argues that this is an unnecessary form of punishment and offers other alternative forms of punishment.
From the Paper:
"Spanking is not an effective form of punishment because it usually develops into beating, leads to the use of weapons, and leaves scars on children. Many parents spank their children to discipline and teach them. Spanking is a powerful way to permanently damage their spirit and lead them towards many misdemeanors, as children get older. In time, children become confused with life and frustrated by their parents."
