As the Earth's temperature rises we see that the ice caps melt, ecosystems are lost and patterns of agriculture are altered. One of the main causes of global warming could be attributed to the increased human production of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gasses are what are causing the earth to retain more heat. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), human activity has been directly responsible for increases in atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases such as methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide since 1750. Climate changes will continue to be a huge problem as the world industrializes, human population continues to grow and with it our consumption of fossil fuels such as oil and coal."
