Traditional models of care and resources could be significantly impacted by the idea that we as a world have the resources and information necessary to select these abnormalities out of the gene pool and if that is not done then it is no longer society's responsibility to care for an support those who are mentally and or physically abnormal. Additionally, the fundamental idea of what it means as parent to raise a child with a disability may be shifted, as more and more people seek out the avoidance of such through genetic testing."
