We have done it with livestock, and there is no reason why the same technology should not be transferable to human beings. Moreover, we have already cloned human embryos, and we have the technology to implant such embryos in a woman's womb. Many people argue that to take such a step would simply be the next step in the ongoing development of reproductive technologies, such as in vitro fertilization, that have helped many infertile couples already."
