Abortion Is Murder

This paper argues that Roe v. Wade should be reversed because this ruling violates a fetus's right to life. As a potential human being, a fetus is entitled to the same rights and protections as realized humans. This paper argues that because abortion terminates human life, the procedure is the same as murder. Therefore, abortion should be made illegal.

"The anti-abortion movement is a diverse group of people who all share one belief that a fetus is a person and is therefore entitled to protection under the law. There are several arguments that support the move to classify a fetus as a person. First of all, medical research has proven that a fetus is "a living organism from the moment of conception" (Gargaro 37). The union of sperm and egg results in a cell with 46 chromosomes. That one fertilized cell has shares an important similarity with the rest of the humans in the world. It has DNA, the complete genetic code for a unique human life."
