"The PVR is an amazing device that changes the way viewers watch television. With a PVR, a remote, and a TV Guide, (or the digital guide on cable and satellite channels), viewers can choose the shows they want to watch days or even weeks in advance, quickly and easily program the PVR to record the shows, and often watch another program while the PVR is recording. Even more amazing, the device is low-priced (as little as $99), and comes bundled with most satellite television if the viewer chooses to pay a slightly higher monthly fee for the PVR. These set-top boxes allow people to pause their favorite show while they do something else, and then return to watch what they missed. Once they pause a show, they can also zoom through commercials to the next scene in the show. If they record as they watch, they can even delete the commercials as they record."
