↶ Look Inside

Paper Summary:

This paper compares and contrasts "Death in the Woods" by Sherwin Anderson and "A Worn Path" by Eudora Welty. The writer focuses on three issues that are common within the two stories and examines their purpose and closeness.

From the Paper:

"Many works of literature center on a theme or concept of struggle. The stories bring out our own emotions that are based in the experiences that we have lived ourselves, and through the eyes of the author we feel compassion for the character in the story. This is the case with two stories that have become quite popular over the years. "A Worn Path" by Eudora Welty and "A Death on the Woods" by Sherwood Anderson both depict life struggles that are familiar to us by history or by experience. The two stories have several issues and themes in common though they are told in completely different settings and eras."
